Box Score WINTER HAVEN — Polk State Baseball found its offense early and the pitching did the rest on Saturday as the Eagles rolled past Rollins College (B), 10-3.
After pushing across two runs in the first inning, Polk State (11-9) seized control with a 7-spot in the second.
Aaron Stelogeannis had his second 3-hit game in as many days, finishing a home run short of the cycle and with two RBIs.
Nelson Taylor and
Travis Stapleton also each drove in two in the victory. Taylor,
Evan Wainman, and
Aris Rivera each had two hits.
The Eagles finished with 13 hits at the plate with six going for extra bases. On the mound,
Caidan Peeples allowed just two runs on five hits and two walks in six strong innings to earn the win.
The victory snaps a mini 2-game skid for Polk State. The Eagles will remain at Bing Tyus Yard to take on Pasco–Hernando State College on Tuesday.
