Box Score WINTER HAVEN — Polk State Basketball has now won consecutive games for the first time this season. The Eagles dominated on both ends of the floor on Saturday afternoon to trounce Southern Coast Academy, 90-59.
Polk State (3-2) shot 50% from the field in the first half to build a 56-30 lead at the break. For the game, Polk State held Southern Coast to just 25% shooting.
Ethan Simon continued to be a force on the inside, recording his third double-double of the season with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Simon entered the day leading the FCSAA in rebounds per game.
For the day, 10 different Polk State players scored.

Josh Pitts each added 14 points in the win. Chris Munyika led Southern Coast with 13 points in the loss.
Now owners of a winning record for the first time this season, Polk State will play its first game away from home in 17 days on Tuesday. The Eagles will visit South Florida Technical College in Pompano Beach.
