Box Score WINTER HAVEN — The offense came early and often for Polk State Baseball on Tuesday night and the pitching eventually came along. The Eagles rolled to an 18-5 run-rule victory over Florida Southern College (B).
After three lead changes over the first two and a half innings, Polk State (18-11) went ahead for good in the bottom of the third on
Mason Mojica's two-run single. Offense came easy throughout the night as the Eagles needed just seven innings to set a new season-high for runs.
Polk State scored in each of the six innings it batted, including multiple runs in each of the last five. The Eagles scored five runs each in the fifth and sixth innings.
Jordan Thomas had a monster night in the lead-off spot, going 4-for-5 with three runs scored and four RBIs. Mojica was 3-for-3 with a run scored and two RBIs.Â

Kevin Brunet, and
Andre Mason each had two hits. Mason and
Kustarr Webb each scored three times.
Liam O'Neil homered in the victory.
On the mound, the story was the bullpen.
Kelyn Dallio,
Jason Sawyer,
Vincent Antuna, and
Aiden Alvarez combined for four scoreless, hitless innings. Dallio worked a scoreless fourth to earn the win.
With Tuesday's win, Polk State has now won 15 of its last 19 games. The Eagles will remain home on Thursday for a pivotal Citrus Conference game with No. 17 College of Central Florida.
